How the level was stated. Printed as "131dB @1m/2Pi" (1 m, half-space); peak vs continuous and signal not stated.
Notes. Spec table lists omni in both planes; text mentions stacking for cardioid configurations (not a single-cabinet pattern). Features list gives 37 kg and 667 mm height, table gives 35.5 kg (with a unit typo) and 674 mm; table used. Pole socket is 1 x M20 polecup.
What the figures mean at distance
Taking 131 dB at 1 m on axis and the free-field rule of 6 dB lost per doubling of distance, this is the most the speaker can reach at each distance. A real room adds reflections, and a speaker is not normally run at its maximum.
| Distance | Level on axis |
|---|---|
| 2 m | 125.0 dB |
| 5 m | 117.0 dB |
| 10 m | 111.0 dB |
| 15 m | 107.5 dB |
| 20 m | 105.0 dB |
See level and distance and coverage angles for how these are worked out.
Planning estimate only. The calculation ignores reverberation, reflections and room modes. See terms and disclaimer.
